The Korea Society offers 'topping off" travel grants of up to $2,000 to deserving undergraduate students in the U.S. for whom the cost of travel to Korea is a burden.
The Spring 2026 Grant Application opens on Monday, November 10th!
Benefits
Travel grants, not to exceed $2,000 USD, are awarded directly to the student. Upon returning to the the U.S., you will be offered an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion hosted the Society with other travel award grantees to share insights on the value of studying abroad in the Republic of Korea.

Eligibility Requirements
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate student in good-standing at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in the Republic of Korea.
- Demonstrate financial need and provide an explanation as to why this "topping off" travel grant award is needed by you.
- Intend to enroll (or be enrolled) in a full academic term studying abroad in Korea in spring 2026 or for a full Korean academic year, e.g. spring 2026 and fall 2026.
