Description

Through the generous support of the CKD Kochon Education Foundation in Korea, the Society is able to offer travel grants of up to $2,000 to deserving undergraduate students in the U.S. for whom the cost of travel to Korea is a burden. 

 Applications for spring 2025 are open from November 1 to November 30, 2024.   

 Eligibility Requirements

Be enrolled as an undergraduate student in good-standing at an accredited U.S. college or university. Be 18 years of age or older. Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident. Demonstrate a strong interest in the Republic of Korea. Demonstrate financial need and why the travel grant award is important to you. Intend to enroll (or be enrolled) in a full academic term studying abroad in Korea in spring 2025 or  for a full academic year, e.g. fall 2024-spring 2025 OR spring and fall 2025. 

 Benefits 

Travel grants, not to exceed $2,000 USD, are awarded directly to the student. Upon returning to the the U.S., you will be offered an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion hosted the Society with other travel award grantees to share insights on the value of studying abroad in the Republic of Korea.
